Javelin star Arshad Nadeem has requested the government to establish a women’s university in his hometown of Mian Channu. He brought attention to the difficulties that local women face, having to travel long distances—sometimes up to 2-3 hours—to reach Multan for higher education.
Nadeem highlighted the struggles these young women go through due to the lack of nearby educational facilities, which often makes it challenging for them to pursue their studies.
He emphasized how important it is to provide women with the opportunity to study closer to home, saying that it would greatly benefit the community. By having a university in Mian Channu, young women would no longer need to make exhausting and time-consuming trips for their education.
This request from Nadeem is a significant step for Mian Channu, a town that has long faced challenges in accessing quality education.
Establishing a women’s university in the area would not only ease the burden on local families but also empower young women by giving them better access to education, ultimately contributing to the development of the region.
