In a setback for Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, the country’s Supreme Court overruled the opposition’s rejection of a resolution of no confidence in his Pakistan TehreekeInsaf (PTI) administration in the National Assembly on Thursday.
The court also annulled subsequent steps, including the dissolution of the National Assembly, and fixed 10 a.m. m. Local media reported April 9 is the date for the motion of no confidence.
As per authorities, in a unanimous decision, a bench of Pakistan’s Supreme Court declared the Deputy Speaker’s order on the no-self-belief vote unlawful.
