Karachi gets new gas pipeline to resolve low pressure gas issues

Sui Southern Gas Pipeline Limited has inaugurated a new main gas pipeline in Karachi. The purpose is to resolve low gas pressure issues being faced by the residents of different areas. The Managing Director of the SSGC, Imran Maniar said that the new gas pipelines will improve supply to the consumers in old city areas of Karachi. The Areas include Lyari, Garden and old city areas.

He said that the 12-inch diameter gas pipeline is five-kilometre-long that starts from Mazar-e-Quaid to the Dhobi Ghat area. The new gas pipeline project completed at the cost of Rs150 million.

Members of the Distribution Department, led by Dy General Manager Abdul Rasheed Laghari, were also present in significant numbers. They provided the Managing Director with an in-depth briefing on this project.
