According to FBR, the Large Tax Peer Office Karachi has set a new record in tax collection.
Karachi also exceeded the federal government’s target for net tax collection.
In 11 months, from July 2021 to May 2022, Karachi collected 1.595 billion in taxes. Compared to the previous year, 42% more taxes were collected this year.
The tax collection target set by the federal government has been set at 1.449 billion rupees. LT Okarachi raised Rs 1595 billion over the target in 11 months.
As per the FBR, FBR tax revenue reached Rs. 6 trillion for the first time in the country’s history.
In the 2021/22 financial year, 6,125 million taxes were collected, 29.1 percent more than the previous year.
