Researchers has declared that the Karachi’s milky milk tea which made at hotels is adulterated.

As per the recent study by a private women’s university and WEF Pakistan, adulterated tea contains microplastics. It was found in a sample of doodhpati tea of Karachi.

As per WWF research, tea samples has been conducted and it has been found with contaminated of microplastics.

Microplastics are 5mm smaller particles. However, One millilitre of doodhpati contains 1 to 5 microplastics, sample was obtained from Karachi.

So as per researchers, a person who consumed doodhpati have an average of approximately 1,769 microplastic particles in their body every week.

Further it has been confirmed by the researchers that doodhpati is consumed in a cup of around 100 to 250 ml. In a cup of milk tea around milk tea is drunk in cups of 100 to 250 ml. About 100 to 1,250 pieces of microplastic enter the body.

Mostly the microplastics in the microplastics are microfibre plastic, as per Professor Rana Hadi.

He further stated that there is no significant differences found in the samples which has been obtained from different areas of the city.

However, microplastics in tea is because of poor quality leaves, milk and sugar.

Technical advisor of WWF, Moazzam Khan, said that the chemical substances which is collected on microplastic particles affects the human health badly.
