KP District ‘Karak’ Receives Snowfall After 20 Years

Parts of Karak district saw heavy snowfall, which hasn’t happened in almost 20 years. This happened in rural areas like Jandri, Speena, Palosasar, and Sabirabad. They got six to 10 inches of snow in just one hour, from 3 pm to 4 pm.

People driving on the Peshawar-Karachi Highway stopped to enjoy the rare snowfall. It reminded them of the last big snowfalls in 1990 and 2004.

The local government sent a team to make sure the traffic on the highway was okay and to prevent any problems caused by the snow.

In Swabi, a place called Beer Gali, which is part of Gadoon Amazai, saw its first-ever recorded snowfall. It happened on Saturday night and Sunday. Beer Gali is about 64 kilometers away from the main town of the district. Many people visited Beer Gali to see the beautiful snowy mountains and enjoy the natural scenery.
