KP Govt. to launch Digital Payment System by June 2021: Zia Ullah Bangash

According to Science and Technology Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zia Ullah Bangash, the KP government aims to introduce the Digital Payment System in the province by June 2021.

For all payments, the Digital Payment System strives to be a one-stop solution. Via the E-Pay Mobile App, it will provide various avenues for payments.

In addition, clients can use the digital platform to pay their bills whenever they want, irrespective of where they are. Naturally, the improved efficiency and speed of the Digital Payment System is expected to lead to enormous cost savings and give consumers a highly convenient solution.

Some of the key characteristics of the upcoming online payment system include the following:

  • Payments from Utility Bill
  • Digital Shopping Payments
  • Taxation and Excise
  • Challan Fee Traffic
  • Charge on Sales
  • Pedagogical Committees
  • Submitting Fees

The idea of a national digital economy has been extremely supportive of the KP government. The KP Information Technology Board (KPITB) is seeking to focus more on centralizing its activities and focusing on e-governance under the leadership of Dr. Sahibzada Ali Mahmud, a graduate of Brunel University. Just another step on the path to the provincial digital model is the implementation of the Digital Payment System.
