Lahore Ranked Among World’s Safest Cities Beating London and New York

Lahore has made big progress in becoming a safer city. It now ranks 63rd among the world’s safest cities and holds the 37th spot on the Global Crime Index. This means it is safer than major cities like New York, London, and Paris.

Over the past year, reported crime cases in Lahore dropped from 67,585 to 34,091. That’s a major improvement. Serious crimes have gone down by 64%, and cases of theft and mobile snatching have also decreased a lot.

One of the main reasons behind this improvement is the set of internal reforms made by the police. More than 400 officers were held accountable for their actions, which helped improve discipline and performance within the force.

DIG Operations Lahore said that a smart approach based on data, better use of technology, and strong support from higher authorities made this success possible. The police used data to track crime patterns and take timely action in high-risk areas. New systems and tools were also introduced to improve monitoring and response time.

The changes have not only helped reduce crime but also built public trust in the police. People now feel more secure in their neighborhoods and daily lives.

Officials say this is just the beginning. They are determined to continue working hard to improve safety in the city even further. The goal is to make Lahore one of the safest cities in the world.

This positive change shows what can happen when planning, technology, and teamwork come together. With consistent efforts, Lahore is on its way to becoming a model city for safety and law enforcement.
