According to official sources, the government implemented a mobile manufacturing policy to promote and entice firms to locate their facilities in Pakistan.
On January 28, 2021, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in accordance with the policy, issued the Mobile Device Manufacturing (MDM) Regulations.
31 businesses have now received MDM Authorization, allowing them to produce mobile devices in Pakistan.
Renowned brands including Samsung, Nokia, Oppo, TECNO, Infinix, Vgotel, and Q-mobile, among others, were represented by the companies.
