Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan said that the YouTubers were already promoting the country as well as earning handsome amount from YouTube – the online video-sharing site – and they should be utilized for the promotion of tourism in the country and abroad.
As more YouTube channels continue to produce high incomes due to a large number of views, being a vlogger has recently become the most desired work among young people and others.
Unlike the traditional media, which suffered due to a pandemic-induced decline, the highest-paid YouTube stars in 2020 from around the world have earned millions of dollars.
“They (Youtubers) should be encouraged. Committees should be named for them. In places such as Nathia Gali, Swat, Hunza etc., we should give them ownership, take them in loop, organize bonfire-kind of events,” Khan suggested, adding that “these children have passion and they are not like 9-to-5 kinds of people.”
