Madinah listed among the World’s Healthiest cities by WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) has listed the Saudi city of Madinah as being among the healthiest cities in the world.

It is claimed that Madinah is the first city with a population of over 2 million to be acknowledged under the healthy citation of the organization’s healthy cities program.

After a visiting WHO team said that it met all the global criteria needed to be a safe city, the Holy City obtained accreditation.

The town’s integrated program included a strategic collaboration with Taibah University to document government criteria for the organization’s evaluation on an electronic platform.

The WHO accreditation was prepared by a total of 22 states, community, charitable and voluntary organizations.

The WHO also suggested that other national city departments involved in participating in the Safe Cities initiative obtain training from the university.
