On Monday, Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MARI), one of Pakistan’s leading oil exploration and production companies, declared that its exploratory well in Sindh had found gas reserves.
The business stated that Mari “had made a gas discovery at its exploration well Mari Ghazij-1, located in Mari D&PL in Sindh Province” in a notice it sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The well was successfully drilled down to a depth of 1,015 metres on November 24, 2022, according to Mari, the operator of Mari D&PL with a 100% operating interest.
With a wellhead flowing pressure of 232 pounds per square inch (Psi) at 64/64 inch, the gas flow rate determined by the drill stem test is 5.1 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd).
