As the Pakistani rupee surged against the US dollar after reaching a record low, gold prices fell noticeably.
According to data from the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold decreased by Rs4,629 to close at Rs196,331, while it increased by Rs5,400 to close at Rs229,000.
The precious metal’s price increased by $7 to reach $1,967 per ounce on the world market.In the meantime, the cost of silver remained constant at Rs. 2,800 per tola and Rs. 2,400.54 for every 10 grammes.After the SBP softens the requirements for banks, the rupee recovers significantly against the US Currency.
