Microsoft Founder Bill Gates Visited Pakistan for Second Time

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has restated his commitment to completely eradicating polio from Pakistan during a meeting in Islamabad attended by Bill Gates and officials from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

This marks the second visit of Bill Gates to Pakistan, following his earlier meeting with then-Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2022.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed appreciation for the continuous support of BMGF in the fight against polio and emphasized the importance of ongoing efforts. He highlighted collaborative initiatives between the federal and provincial governments, including recent vaccination drives.

During the meeting, Bill Gates reaffirmed the commitment to continue efforts towards polio eradication in Pakistan in the coming years.

The discussions also included broader areas of cooperation, such as utilizing digital technologies for economic development and other mutual benefits.
