The Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives has announced job openings under the PSDP-funded project titled “Establishment of Federal SDGs Support Unit.” This initiative offers several exciting roles on a contract basis to support Pakistan’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Opportunities for Specialists and Experts
The ministry is seeking professionals for various positions, each aligned with critical SDG targets.
1. Social Sector Specialist (PPS-10)
The Social Sector Specialist will focus on poverty reduction, food security, health, education, and gender equality. Their work will target reducing inequalities and promoting social welfare in line with SDG objectives.
2. Environment Sector Specialist (PPS-10)
This role involves designing and implementing projects that promote environmental sustainability, address climate change challenges, and improve natural resource management.
3. Economic Sector Specialist (PPS-10)
The Economic Sector Specialist will work on fostering economic growth, job creation, and poverty reduction. Their role involves providing insights for sustainable development through economic analysis and reforms.
4. IT/Dashboard Expert (PPS-09)
The IT/Dashboard Expert will create digital tools and dashboards to facilitate real-time SDG monitoring. This includes ensuring data visualization supports innovation and improves access to critical information.
5. Data/Statistics Expert (PPS-09)
This position focuses on collecting, analyzing, and reporting statistical data to monitor SDG progress, enabling evidence-based policy-making and efficient resource allocation.
6. Communication Expert (PPS-09)
The Communication Expert will develop and implement strategies to raise awareness about SDG initiatives. They will work to enhance public engagement and understanding of the project’s goals.
7. Admin & Finance Officer (PPS-08)
The Admin & Finance Officer will handle administrative and financial operations to ensure transparent governance and effective resource utilization.
8. Research Analyst (PPS-08)
The Research Analyst will conduct localized research to address country-specific challenges related to the SDGs, guiding project decisions and policies.
9. Office Assistant (PPS-05)
The Office Assistant will provide administrative support to ensure smooth project execution, focusing on documentation, communication, and coordination.
