The Middle East and North Africa Salary Survey 2023 was conducted by Baytcom, the region’s top job site, and market research firm YouGov to measure employee satisfaction with current salaries and factors affecting it.
It also looked into the motivations behind employee loyalty to employers and the role that salaries play in both career satisfaction and general well-being.
It’s interesting to note that 7 out of 10 respondents from the UAE (70%) believe that salaries are either rising or remaining flat, and 53% anticipate getting a raise in 2023.
33% of respondents assert that their devotion to their employer is unrelated to their pay. However, 35% believe that their loyalty is strongly correlated with their pay.
