Integrating Facial Recognition System at Airport, Multan became 4th Pakistani City after Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, confirmed by Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.
According to the PCAA, this advancement will keep checks on illegal international transport and would assist in bordering agencies at Multan International Airport. They further mentioned that special trainings have been delivered by Japan International Cooperation System to Civil Aviation Authority and Federal Investigation Agency’s officers at MIAP.
The system operates by authenticating users through their ID verification and pinpoints their facial features from provided image.
The sources concluded with the statement that this cooperation of reinforcing the security system at airports between Pakistan and Japan is a ‘Continuous Process’.
