The Multan Sultans have added Saqlain Mushtaq, a former Pakistan head coach and legendary spinner, to their coaching staff for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL). Saqlain will serve as the spin bowling coach and team mentor for the franchise.
In a groundbreaking move, Catherine Dalton was recently appointed as the Fast Bowling Coach for Multan Sultans.
She becomes the first woman to hold a coaching position in a top-level men’s cricket team, breaking stereotypes and achieving a significant milestone in the world of sports.
Dalton, a former Ireland international player, also holds a Level 3 Advanced Coach certification from the England Cricket Board (ECB).
Abdul Rehman, an experienced domestic cricket coach, was named head coach of the Multan Sultans last month.
He had previously worked as an assistant coach for the Sultans in the PSL for the past five years. The announcement of Rehman as the new head coach was made via social media, and he will take over from Andy Flower in this role.
