Naseem Shah, the fast bowler from Pakistan’s cricket team, revealed that he didn’t play in the match against Galle Titans by choice, not due to an injury. He wanted to rest and take a break. Naseem Shah clarified that he’s in good shape and ready for the upcoming series against Afghanistan.
Naseem Shah explained that he told his team, the Colombo Strikers, that he needed rest, and they agreed. This is different from what was previously said by the team captain, Chamika Karunaratne, who mentioned Naseem Shah’s shoulder problem as the reason he didn’t play.
The upcoming series between Pakistan and Afghanistan is planned in Sri Lanka from August 22 to August 26. Many Pakistani players are already in Sri Lanka for the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Also, since some matches of the Asia Cup will happen in Sri Lanka, Pakistani players wanted to get used to the playing conditions there.
