The Education Department of Punjab has recently approved the new guidelines for training of the teachers with special attention to teach English language courses according to the standards set by the British Council.
Dr. Murad Raas, the Minister of Education Punjab had also tweeted that government of Punjab is introducing innovative methods and ways to teach English language to the students and to train teachers as well, and once this all will be decided, they will make an official announcement.
The minister also met the British Council’s representatives at QAED- the Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development. According to the repots the meeting also includes a discussion on the training methods for teachers.
Provincial government is also seeking the innovative means to enhance and improve the education system in Punjab, for that currently a number of institutional reforms are working.
A potential partnership of Punjab government with the British Council will soon offer the crash courses for English language at initial level and this will be for teachers in the Punjab province also. It will also help the teachers in imparting their knowledge to students with clarity and more clear understanding and potentially to encourage the students to perform better in this domain.
