New Zealand Offers Immediate Residency Visas for Doctors and Nurses

Recently, New Zealand announced to offer overseas nurses and midwives an instant pathway to residency as the New Zealand trying to tackle a shortfall of medical staff.

PM of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern stated that changes in the process of immigration system means who ever are the deserving one would get the fast track residency from Thursday.

Furthermore he added, that they would be added to the Country’s “Green List” which indicates the skilled one in hard-to-fill roles to get residency.

It is estimated that New Zealand needs approximately 4,000 more nurses.

Starting of this year, Andrew Little Health Minister of Country stated that country needed hundreds of mental health nurses alone.

New Zealand only entirely unlocked its borders in August, after more than 2 years of border restrictions.
