On Sunday, the Pakistan’s Government announced the Nisab of Zakat, as the Holy month of Ramadan is starting soon. The amount that is declared by the government like the Nisab of Zakat is set Rs. 80,933.
Administrator General Zakat notifies this for the lunar year 1441-42 Hijri and according to him people must maintain a minimum of Rs. 80,933, the balance amount in, profit, savings and loss sharing, or with similar bank accounts on the very first day of Ramazan. It will be liable to pay the fix 2.5% Zakat on an individual’s total balance.
