The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has recently informed the Senate that over 1.1 million Pakistanis got job overseas in the first three years of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

During the first three years of the existing government, the ministry reported that 6,24000 people acquired jobs in Saudi Arabia, while 2,92000 people went to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for work, as per a written response given during Senate question hour.

During the last three years, over 77,000 workers were employed in Oman, 64,000 in Bahrain, and 13,000 in Pakistan.

Further, more than 6,000 Pakistanis were employed in Iraq, more than 2,000 in China and the United Kingdom, and more than 1,000 in the United States.

According to the Overseas Ministry’s response, 288 Pakistanis travelled for Turkey in search of job.
