Pak Army Restores Roads Blocked by Landslides and Snow in Neelum Valley

Heavy rain and snowfall have disrupted life in Neelum Valley and other areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Landslides have blocked major roads, including the Neelum highway, making travel difficult.

The affected areas include Athmaqam, Keran, Upper Neelum, Sharda, and Kel, where continuous rain has caused problems. Meanwhile, Upper Gurez, Halmat, Taobat, Shounter, and Arang Kel are covered in heavy snowfall, making conditions even tougher.

The bad weather has also led to power outages since 10 pm, leaving many areas in complete darkness. Communication networks have been affected, making it hard for people to stay connected or get help.

Authorities have advised residents to stay safe and follow precautions. Once the weather improves, repair work will begin to restore roads and power.

In Muzaffarabad and nearby valleys, the heavy rain has continued for a third straight day. This has raised concerns about rising water levels in rivers and canals, increasing the risk of floods.

Despite these difficulties, the people of AJK are showing resilience. Authorities are working to bring back normal life as soon as possible, but the weather remains unpredictable. Residents are hoping for relief and a quick recovery from the damage caused by the harsh conditions.
