Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has once again taken the lead in sales volume, having sold 9,013 vehicles in January 2021, making a record of 19 percent rise in sales month-on-month (MoM) and a 62 percent increase in YoY sales.
With nearly 3,000 units sold in January 2021, Toyota Yaris remained the best-selling vehicle. On the other hand, Toyota Corolla lost half of its sales (56 percent). In Jan 2021, only 1,525 Corollas left the showroom; in Jan 2020, the number was 3,445.
2,063 City and Civic units were sold by Honda, 10 percent more than the 1,878 units sold in Jan 2020. In Jan 2021, Suzuki sold 364 Swift units. The number increased by 153 percent compared to 144 units sold in Jan 2020.
The auto sector reported a remarkable 17,515 vehicle sales in January 2021, which is up by 46 percent compared to sales in January of last year, as per the statistics collected and shared by Topline Securities.
