Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain addressed cooperation with the Huawei Technologies delegation in the areas of digitalization and successful e-governance implementation in Pakistan’s various government institutions.
He stated that the government’s plan for a paperless office environment is being aggressively pursued. He stressed the importance of e-governance and stated that all-out efforts would be made to provide broadband and internet access with the aim of reaching a wider audience, both for the general public and the government.
The minister also informed the delegation about the government’s plan to create a media technology university, saying that Huawei’s help would be greatly appreciated in developing cutting-edge, technologically well-equipped modern educational institutions.
The delegation gave the minister a detailed presentation on Huawei Technologies’ various investment projects in Pakistan. They assured the minister that Huawei will continue to provide Pakistan with safe and reliable solutions as well as cutting-edge technology.
