Pakistan Deaf Cricket Team Win DICC T20 World Cup 2024

The Pakistan Deaf Cricket Team achieved a significant victory by winning the Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) T20 World Cup 2024. The decisive moment came in the final match against Sri Lanka at the Cricket Vision Centre in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 12.

Under the leadership of Zaka Ahmed Qureshi, the Pakistan team demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout the tournament, maintaining an unbeaten record from March 6 to March 12. Their journey to the final showcased not only their skill on the field but also their resilience and determination.

In the highly anticipated final showdown, Pakistan faced Sri Lanka. The match turned out to be one-sided, with Pakistan securing a commanding victory by a margin of 88 runs. Pakistan’s dominance was evident as they set a challenging target of 151 runs while batting first. Despite their best efforts, Sri Lanka faltered in their chase, managing to score only 63 runs in 16.5 overs.

The tournament featured six nations, including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Australia, competing in the cricketing extravaganza hosted in the UAE.
