Pakistan Drops to Last in World Test Championship Standings After Sixth Straight Loss

Pakistan’s tough run in Test cricket continues as they suffer their sixth consecutive defeat, placing them at the bottom of the World Test Championship table. In a significant low point, Pakistan made history by becoming the first team ever to lose a Test match after scoring more than 500 runs in their first innings.

Their recent defeat against England, by an innings and 47 runs, highlights the ongoing struggles within the team. Despite a strong first innings, Pakistan’s inconsistency and lack of resilience showed in their poor performance during the second innings. England’s dominance, especially in bowling, exposed Pakistan’s weaknesses, making it difficult for them to fight back.

The team’s current form is a cause for concern, and this series of defeats raises questions about their ability to compete at the highest level. The pressure is building on both the players and management to find solutions and improve their performance in the upcoming matches.

With no home Test wins since 2022, Pakistan must work hard to regain their confidence and stability if they hope to climb back up the rankings and make a comeback in the World Test Championship.
