In the initial four months of the fiscal year 2023-24, Pakistan earned $892.972 million by providing various Information Technology (IT) services to different countries. This reflects a 4.45% increase when compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Breaking down the components of IT services, the export of computer services experienced a growth of 4.81%, escalating from $688.078 million to $721.162 million. A noteworthy highlight is the substantial surge of 93.76% in the export of software consultancy services, reaching $1.955 million.

However, there was a decline of 25.18% in the export of information services, decreasing from $1.390 million to $1.040 million during this period. On a positive note, the export of telecommunication services witnessed a 4.45% increase, reaching $170.770 million.

These figures indicate the dynamic nature of Pakistan’s IT sector, with certain services experiencing growth while others face challenges. The overall increase in revenue emphasizes the country’s continued contribution to the global IT market.
