The Pakistan hockey team secured their second win in the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China, by defeating Bangladesh.
In their second pool match, Pakistan initially faced a setback as Bangladesh took an early lead with a goal from a penalty corner in the 19th minute. However, Pakistan managed to equalize the score at 1-1, thanks to Afraz, who played a pivotal role in Pakistan’s 5-2 victory over Bangladesh.
After the comeback, Pakistan continued to dominate with consecutive goals. Shahzeb Khan and Mohammad Imad scored goals in the 40th and 43rd minutes, respectively.
Despite Bangladesh’s efforts to narrow the lead, they scored their second goal in the 46th minute. Nevertheless, Pakistan extended their lead with a powerful flick from a penalty corner by Sufyan Khan, making the final score 4-2 in favor of Pakistan.
