The board of directors of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) approved a 20% increase in employee compensation on Wednesday, after a 5-year hiatus.
Employees in grades 1-4 will receive a 20% pay raise, according to the PIA. Employees in grades 5 through director level have also been approved for a 10% wage hike. It is important to note that salaries were boosted after a five-year hiatus. In 2016, PIA increased the salary of its staff for the second time.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) declared in 2020 that 450 pilots, 400 engineers, and 27 finance department personnel will lose their pay and benefits.
