Siddique, an 80-year-old inhabitant of Bogra on the outskirts of Faisalabad, reconnected with his brother who had been separated during the Partition.

According to him, two days before Pakistan’s independence, his mother travelled to Indian Punjab to visit his parents with his younger brother Habib, who was just a few months old.

Siddique waited for his mother to return after the Partition, but she never did. But today, after 74 years, he has been reunited with his younger brother Habib, who was later awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
