Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) have found the wreckage of the missing K2 Airways cargo plane. The debris was located about 53 nautical miles south of Ormara in the Arabian Sea. The discovery came after more than 12 hours of intense search operations.
The Boeing 737-400 aircraft disappeared late Tuesday night while flying from Sharjah in the UAE to Karachi. It had five crew members on board. The plane reported a navigational system problem before losing contact with air traffic control. Radar data showed it made sharp turns and a rapid descent before vanishing.
Rescue teams are continuing their work in the area to search for the crew. Officials are gathering evidence from the wreckage to understand what caused the crash. The Bureau of Air Safety Investigation will lead the full probe into the incident.
The tragedy has caught the attention of the whole country. Families of the crew and the public are hoping for more positive news. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities to speed up efforts. K2 Airways said it is cooperating fully with all agencies involved.
