Pakistan Partners with Saudi Arabia to Build International Cricket Stadium in Jeddah

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has signed a landmark agreement with the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation to build a modern international cricket stadium in Jeddah. This historic deal will create world-class cricket facilities in the Kingdom that meet International Cricket Council (ICC) standards.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Mohammad Al Saud during his official visit to Saudi Arabia. The project aims to develop top-level infrastructure so Saudi Arabia can host international matches and big tournaments in the future.

Both boards will work together on stadium planning, design, technical support, and operations. Pakistan will share its expertise to help build a high-quality venue with modern facilities like floodlights and good seating. This partnership will boost cricket’s growth in Saudi Arabia, where many South Asian workers already love the sport.

The move strengthens sports ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. It supports Saudi Vision 2030, which wants to promote sports and host global events. For Pakistan, it opens new opportunities for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and other matches abroad while helping develop cricket in the Gulf region.
