Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will resume direct passenger flights between Islamabad and Beijing starting July 3, 2026. This important route was suspended earlier in April due to high jet fuel prices but is now back to meet growing travel demand.
The restart will make travel easier for students, business people, tourists, and families. It will strengthen ties between Pakistan and China in tourism, trade, education, and people-to-people contacts. China is a key partner for Pakistan through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and better air links will support these growing relations.
PIA has partnered with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines. This allows passengers from 25 Chinese cities to connect smoothly through Beijing to Islamabad. The flights will operate weekly, offering a convenient non-stop option that saves time and reduces hassle compared to connecting flights.
To attract more travelers, PIA has improved services. It increased the free baggage allowance to 50 kg for Economy Class (up from 40 kg) and 60 kg for Executive Economy (up from 50 kg). Special promotional fares are also available for a limited time, making trips more affordable.
