Pakistan has observed to improve its position in the list of the GTI- Global Terrorism Index in 2020. However, the major cause of improving the rank as a safe country is the ongoing counter-operations that are undertaken by the military of the nation. The security forces have made great measures to prevent terrorists in the country to make any harm.
The report of GTI 2020 clearly shows that the rank of Pakistan has been lowered; however, low rank in GTI indicates that the country is safe. Due to the overall security of the nation, the improvement has been made.
Previously, Pakistan was not considered as a safe place to live due to terrorist attacks; however, the military took strict measures and tries to overcome this problem up to a significant level. 85% deaths were recorded in 2019 in the regions of Balochistan and KPK by 77% terrorist attacks but now the situation is under controlled by the forces as no such incidents are reported.
Moreover, the official report states that after peaking in 2013, number of deaths as well as the terrorist incidents in Pakistan has decreased by 87% and 86% respectively.
The terrorist groups in Pakistan has made a lot of troubles for the nation in past and now the time is changing where Pakistan’s ranks for being a safe country is improving and due to this tourism is also expanding.
