Brian Lara of the West Indies says Pakistan’s unbeaten record in the ongoing T20 World Cup is ideal for India.
Pakistan presently leads Group 2 with two wins from two games, against India and New Zealand, and it’s likely to remain that way with the Men in Green’s next three matches against significantly inferior opponents in Afghanistan, Namibia, and Scotland.
Lara believes that if Pakistan maintains their lead at the top of the table, India will finish second.
“Now it’s up to India to defeat New Zealand.” Of course, they have more games to play, but Pakistan’s dominance at the top is ideal for India to chase down the second slot,” Lara said on Star Sports.
