According to a top official, Pakistan has seen the highest number of information technology companies registered in its history during the current fiscal year.
Osman Nasir, Managing Director of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), said the PSEB is providing maximum assistance to the IT industry in order to boost exports of IT products and services from Pakistan and ensure holistic IT industry development.
“The multipronged efforts are paying off, as the number of IT companies registered with Pakistan’s Securities and Exchange Commission has risen to over 10,000. “The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan reported the highest number of IT company registrations in fiscal year 2020-21, with 2,826 companies registered,” Nasir said in a statement.
“In light of the global economic downturn, this result is particularly commendable, demonstrating the resilience of Pakistan’s IT industry ecosystem.”
