A court in Karachi, Pakistan, has granted a ten-day physical remand of eight sailors from a Turkish ship that violated international maritime boundaries. The sailors, who are from Indonesia and Egypt, have been handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for questioning.
According to an investigation officer, the Turkish ship entered Pakistani waters without legal permission, and one crew member was traveling without a passport. The Maritime Security Agency detained the vessel and its sailors near Gaddani, a coastal town in Balochistan.
The magistrate has instructed the officials to bring the suspects before the court on June 15 after the completion of their remand.
