Pakistan to Face Japan in Final of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2024

Pakistan and Japan have earned their spots in the final of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2024 in Malaysia. The final match between these two teams will take place on May 11 at the same venue.

Pakistan is leading the points table with three wins and one draw from four matches. Similarly, Japan also has the same number of wins and draws. Following closely are Malaysia and New Zealand, both with six points each.

On the other hand, Korea is in fifth place with three points, while Canada, still looking for a win, holds the sixth position. In a recent match against Canada, Pakistan showcased a remarkable comeback after trailing 2-0 in the first 17 minutes. Eventually, they secured a thrilling 5-4 victory.

Abu Bakr Mahmood played a significant role with two goals, and Arshad Liaqat, Rana Waheed Ashraf, and Ghazanfar Ali each contributed one goal. Despite Canada’s efforts, including two goals from Sean Davis and one each from Harbir Sindhu and Avjot Buttar, Pakistan emerged victorious.
