As ICC announced the schedule for World Cup 2023, the most sought-after match of the tournament between Pakistan and India will be witnessed by the fans on 15th October in Ahmedabad. The World Cup will start on 5th October with the match between England and New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium.
Prior to facing India, Pakistan will play against qualifiers on 6th October and 12th October 2023. India will start the tournament matches by first playing against Australia, the team with 5 winning trophies, on 8th October in Chennai.
The tournament includes 10 teams. 8 teams have already been qualified via Cricket World Cup Super League and the remaining two will be confirmed at the end of the tournament happening in Zimbabwe. World Cup 2023 will follow a round-robin format. As per this format, each team will face the other nine with the top 4 reaching the knockout stage and competing in the semi-finals.
