Pakistani Companies Land Multi-Million Dollar Deals at First pak-Oman Expo

The first-ever Pakistan-Oman Expo recently concluded in Muscat, marking a successful event for both nations. Pakistani companies secured export deals worth millions of dollars across various industries, including textiles, sports equipment, food products, and pharmaceuticals. These deals are expected to boost Pakistan’s export market and strengthen trade ties between the two countries.

More than 1,000 Omani businesspeople attended the expo, expressing great interest in the diverse range of products presented by 64 Pakistani companies. These businesses represented ten different sectors, showcasing the quality and variety of Pakistani products. The event featured both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) sessions, allowing companies to establish important connections. Presentations and discussions were also held to explore new opportunities for increasing trade between the two nations, with strong support from Omani officials.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, Imran Ali, highlighted the importance of this expo in strengthening economic relations between Pakistan and Oman. He noted that the expo is not just a one-time event but the beginning of what is hoped to become an annual tradition, further enhancing the economic partnership between the two countries.

Currently, trade between Pakistan and Oman amounts to $694 million. However, both sides see significant room for growth in this figure. With the success of the first Pakistan-Oman Expo, there is optimism that bilateral trade will continue to expand in the coming years, benefiting both nations economically.
