Pakistani javelin throwers Arshad Nadeem and Muhammad Yasir have made the country proud by qualifying for the finals of the 26th Asian Athletics Championships, currently taking place in South Korea.
Arshad Nadeem, who recently brought glory to Pakistan at the Paris 2024 Olympics, impressed once again by throwing the javelin a massive 86.34 meters on his very first attempt. His powerful performance placed him at the top of the leaderboard among 21 athletes competing in the event.
Muhammad Yasir also showed strong effort, recording a throw of 76.07 meters. His performance earned him the ninth position overall, which was enough to qualify for the final round alongside Arshad.
Both athletes will now compete in the much-anticipated final, which is scheduled to take place on May 31 at 1:10 PM Pakistan Standard Time. All eyes will be on Arshad and Yasir as they aim to bring more medals and recognition to Pakistan in the field of athletics.
