Senator Aon Abbas Buppi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on E-Commerce, stated on Thursday that the country’s e-commerce trade would be increased to $9.1 billion by 2025.
He told APP that Pakistan was a developing e-commerce business with the potential to thrive in the regional market as well as emerge as a global player in the next years.
He said that the country’s e-commerce market was just $4 billion in revenue, significantly less than its regional competitors, in the $30 trillion worldwide e-commerce sector.
“By boosting e-commerce trade in Pakistan, we can balance our trade deficit, which will lead to improved country economic growth,” Aon Abbas Buppi remarked.
