In a significant step for Pakistan’s energy sector, Saudi Aramco has officially opened its first fully branded fuel station in Lahore, located in the bustling Liberty area. This event marks the start of Aramco’s retail presence in Pakistan after the energy giant acquired a 40% equity stake in Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO). Through this partnership, Aramco aims to expand its reach in Pakistan’s fuel market, introducing its brand and standards to a new region.
At the inauguration, Zeeshan Tayyeb, the Chief Operating and Financial Officer of GO, and Zain Jaffery, Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at GO, were present to celebrate the opening. Both played key roles in establishing this partnership, which is expected to bring a new level of quality and reliability to Pakistan’s fuel industry.
In the coming months, additional Aramco-branded stations will open, enhancing Pakistan’s fuel infrastructure and providing consumers with a world-class, sustainable fueling experience that meets global standards. This partnership reflects a new phase of growth and modernization in Pakistan’s energy landscape, aligning with global trends in energy sustainability and innovation.
