Hamza Amin, a golfer from Pakistan, won the Austrian National Open Golf Championship in Oberwaltersdorf, Austria. Despite tough weather and competition from European Tour winner Martin Wiegele, Hamza won by two strokes.
What makes his victory special is that his father, Taimur Hassan, a respected amateur golfer from Pakistan, was his caddy. Taimur Hassan’s support and guidance helped Hamza succeed.
Representing Rumanza Golf Club, Hamza showed his skills with scores of 71, 70, 75, and 69 over four days. His last round was impressive, especially the back nine with important birdies on holes 11, 13, 15, and 17.
Hamza said winning the Open again was amazing, especially with his father there. He called it a historic moment. Despite challenges, he stayed focused.
Taimur Hassan was happy to be part of his son’s victory, highlighting the special father-son bond. The Austrian National Open Championship is an important event on the Austrian Golf Association’s schedule. This year, it happened at Fontana Golf Club, which has hosted European Tour events before.
