Taimoor Khan, an unbeaten professional boxer from Pakistan, advanced his boxing career on Thursday by defeating Thailand’s Panya Chomphoophuang to claim the vacant WBC Asia heavyweight title at Space Plus Night Club, RCA Plaza, in Bangkok.
According to information gathered, the 26-year-old, nicknamed as “The Diamond Boy,” was aggressive from the start and floored his skilled opponent in the second round to win the title fight, dubbed “Explosive Power.”
The committed young fighter told over the phone that he was confident in winning the bout because he felt both physically and spiritually prepared to put up a polished performance. “Thank God, I’ve once more brought honour to my country. For the fight, I had to put in a lot of effort. I’m the first Pakistani boxer to ever triumph in a competition of this calibre, he continued.
Khan currently has a perfect 8-0 record with 7 knockouts after winning all of his professional fights.
