The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed veteran spinner Saqlain Mushtaq and National High-Performance Center (NHPC) bowling coach Umar Rasheed as bowling advisers to fix Mohammad Hasnain’s bowling action.
According to the PCB, Hasnain is a valuable asset to the country, and he is one of the few fast bowlers who can regularly bowl at 145 kph clicks. The board will work to address his acts while considering his future and Pakistan’s interests.
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 Technical Committee has also recommended the bowler to sit out the season so he can work on his bowling action and ask for a reassessment to become eligible for international cricket.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has barred the right-arm fast bowler from international cricket after his bowling action was judged illegal.
It’s worth noting that Hasnain’s actions during the Big Bash League (BBL) match between Sydney Thunder and Adelaide Strikers on January 2 at Sydney Showground Stadium were judged illegal by Australian umpire Gerard Abood.
