Recently, Zulqarnain suffered from stomach infection and went through a surgery after which his health and financial conditions both were effected.
Nadeem Khan, PCB’s director NHPC(National High Performance Centre) and Junaid Zia, GM Domestic Cricket met former test cricketer at his residence to provide complete financial assistance to him, confirmed by sources.
A cheque was handed over to former test cricketer by the two high officials on behalf of PCB for clearing his hospital expenses and commited to support him in future too.
Such kind gesture from PCB was appreciated by Zulqarnain and thanked Nadeem and Junaid for taking out time for him.
The main point to be noted here that Zulqarnain left the national team overnight during Dubai tour in 2010, after which his cricket career became disputable. He then came back to domestic cricket but unable to make his way back to national team again.
