Petrol Price Hits Rs. 500 Per Liter as Fuel Shortage Grips Balochistan

Fuel prices in Balochistan have increased sharply due to a growing shortage of petrol and diesel in several districts. The situation has created serious difficulties for the public, especially in Quetta and nearby areas where fuel availability has become limited.

According to reports, petrol and diesel prices have reached as high as Rs500 per litre in some locations. This sudden rise has caused concern among residents, as fuel is now becoming unaffordable for many people.

The shortage has also badly affected transport services. Public transport, goods carriers, and private vehicles are facing problems in operating normally. As a result, the movement of essential goods such as food and medical supplies has been disrupted in many areas, increasing hardship for citizens.

People in the affected regions have urged authorities to take immediate action against hoarding and illegal profiteering. They believe that some individuals and groups may be storing fuel and selling it at higher prices to take advantage of the shortage situation.

Officials have said that efforts are underway to improve the supply of petroleum products in the region. They are working to stabilize distribution and ensure that fuel is made available at controlled prices across all affected districts.

Petroleum dealers have also expressed hope that the situation will improve soon. They expect that once fuel supply from Shikarpur increases in the coming days, the market will gradually return to normal and prices will come down.

Authorities have assured the public that they are closely monitoring the situation and taking steps to address supply issues. They have also emphasized the need for cooperation from all stakeholders to prevent further disruption and ensure smooth fuel distribution in the province.
